Description: The Rotameter operates based on the variable area principle: as fluid flows through a tapered tube, it raises a float, which increases the area for fluid passage. The higher the flow rate, the higher the float rises. The float reaches a stable position when the upward force from the fluid equals the downward gravitational force of the float. The height of the float is directly proportional to the flow rate.
