Description: The Rotameter operates based on the variable area principle, where fluid flow raises a float in a tapered tube, which increases the passage area for the fluid. The greater the flow, the higher the float is raised. The float position is directly proportional to the flow rate, and it stabilizes when the upward force from the flowing liquid equals the downward gravitational force of the float.
