Description: The Rotameter operates on the variable area principle: when fluid flows through a tapered tube, the flow raises a float. As the flow increases, the float is raised higher, creating more space for the fluid to pass through. The height of the float is directly proportional to the flow rate, ensuring accurate measurement. The float reaches a stable position when the upward force from the flowing liquid is balanced by the downward gravitational force from the float’s weight.
